Manufacturing & Factory Setup Planning Checklist
Pre-requisite feasibility checklist covering power load, equipment vendor verification, pollution norms, and distributor channels.
1. Industrial Land Allotment (BIADA or Private)
Clear title, industrial non-agricultural (NA) conversion, and wide 30ft+ heavy vehicle access road.
2. High-Tension (HT) Connected Power Load
Sanctioned power load from electricity board matching total connected HP of all machines + lighting.
3. Dedicated Diesel Generator (DG) Backup
Power backup capable of running continuous production cycles without raw material solidification/spoilage.
4. Machinery Vendor Scrutiny & Live Trial
Visited working operational plant using the exact machine model before sending 50% advance payment.
5. Shed Height & Reinforced Concrete Flooring
Adequate roof height (20ft+) for heat dissipation and heavy reinforced flooring capable of bearing vibrating equipment.
6. Pollution Control Board CTE / CTO Consent
Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) categorized under White, Green, or Orange industry list.
7. Fire Safety NOC & Factory License
Fire extinguisher placements, emergency exits, and registration with Directorate of Factories.
8. 30 to 45-Day Raw Material Buffer Stock
Secured primary and secondary raw material supply contracts to prevent production halts during transit delays.
9. Pre-Committed Wholesale & Dealer Network
Agreements or letters of intent from regional distributors to purchase 60%+ of initial plant capacity.
10. Working Capital for 60-Day Credit Receivables
Cash reserve to purchase fresh raw materials while waiting for dealers to clear 30-to-60 day trade credit.
